PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Advanced Conversion
Advanced Conversion is pleased to announce that its Colorado operation has been certified to AS9100D. We now join a very select group of companies recognized to supply any type of capacitors, and especially film capacitors, to the Aerospace and Defense markets.
This AS9100D certification allows our existing product development projects working with leading companies in the Electrified Aviation market to confidently move towards flight certification. It also allows additional new projects to get started with that same Confidence.
Advanced Conversion’s unique technology enables some of the most power dense and lightweight electrified propulsion systems in the industry. As all participants in the Electrified Aviation industry know, the flight certification of these innovative new platforms is as big a challenge as demonstrating the technical capability itself. This certification also facilitates smoother and more timely qualifications of all aviation and defense related systems requiring the use of capacitors.
“We are very proud that the AS9100D certification allows us to bring the full design, development and production of our industry leading high performance DC Link systems to the exciting and rapidly growing Electrified Aviation market,” stated Ed Sawyer, General Manager of Advanced Conversion.
“The Colorado team is very excited to be able to provide AS9100D certified design and production of next capacitor solutions for the aviation industry. This certification is a significant milestone for us to support our existing electric aviation customers and will enable us to bring in new opportunities in this rapidly growing and exciting market,” commented Dr. Michael Brubaker, Chief Technology Officer of Advanced Conversion.
