PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: AURA AERO
From July 21 to 27, AURA AERO will be exhibiting at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2025, presenting its two-seater side-by-side trainer aircraft with aerobatic capabilities, Integral R.
The AURA AERO team, composed of Drew McEwen, Chief Commercial Officer; Wilfried Dufaud, Co-founder, Executive Director & Head of Airworthiness; Bastien Sclafer, Aftersales Leader and Sales Project Officer, and Nils Harald Hansen, Sales Representative, Aerobatic Pilot, Aircraft Charging Infrastructures, will be present all week, at the IAC (International Aerobatics Club) Pavilion, together with Michael Goulian, the U.S. Ambassador for Integral R, presenting the aircraft.
Following EASA (Europe) certification received in December 2024 for Integral R, the first aircraft of its two-seater family, AURA AERO is now progressing with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration - U.S.) validation. The French manufacturer is working with the FAA on a fast-track process, with plans to utilize its U.S.
-based means, serial number 003 aircraft from its new hangar in Daytona Beach, Florida for any necessary demonstrations.
The U.S. is a major market for Integral, being the largest training market in the world, with nearly 600 FAA approved flight schools, over 75,000 pilots and a growing demand for modern, cost-effective training aircraft with aerobatic capabilities. Integral R is already flying with several aeroclubs in Europe, and offers an advanced, efficient solution for both traditional and electric flight training, making it a strong contender in the U.S. market.
The Integral range offers 3 models, for the most complete flight experience:
- Integral R: thermal 210 hp Lycoming engine, tailwheel, EASA certification in December 2024, available for delivery;
- Integral S: thermal 180 hp Lycoming engine, nosewheel, EASA certification by end 2025;
- Integral E: all-electric motor (Safran ENGINeUS, first-ever certified electric aircraft motor), tailwheel or nosewheel, EASA certification by end 2026 and first deliveries in 2027.
Adapted for Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT), Integral is the most modern training aircraft, suited for both civil and military use. Equipped with advanced Garmin avionics and a unique digital platform (EPONA) registering and analyzing flight data, it delivers detailed pilot and aircraft performance debriefings - essential for training. Integral is also the safest aircraft in its class, being the only one certified with a whole aircraft rescue parachute system.
AURA AERO is currently expanding its footprint in the US, with the opening this year of a 10,000 sq.ft hangar in Daytona Beach, Florida, at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Research Park, dedicated to the assembly, delivery and customer support of Integral aircraft for the U.S. market. Activities will start with Integral R, and the hangar will also host two prototypes of Integral E, the all-electric version, soon flying in the skies of Daytona Beach to conduct the flight test campaign prior to its entry into service, expected early 2027.
Furthermore, AURA AERO has also selected Daytona Beach for its U.S. headquarters and the construction of a 500,000 sq.ft factory dedicated to ERA, its 19-seater regional hybrid-electric aircraft, due to enter into service by 2030. Representing the creation of over 1,000 jobs, this project has received the key support of Space Florida, with up to $200 M in funding.
