PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Honeywell Aerospace
Honeywell today announced that its Aspire 350 satellite communications system has been selected by Dassault Aviation for continued use across its Falcon family of business jets. Certifications for Aspire 350 use are now complete on Falcon 2000 and Falcon 6X, with Falcon 8X availability expected this month. Aspire 350 will also be installed as a line-fit solution on the upcoming Falcon 10X, with additional Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) solutions for aftermarket Falcon 900 and Falcon 7X platforms in progress.
Honeywell’s Aspire 350 satcom delivers seamless, high-speed connectivity for both cockpit and cabin use. Designed to keep pilots informed with critical flight data and provide passengers with reliable internet access, the system offers global coverage through the Iridium Certus satellite network. Honeywell recently became the first satcom innovator to receive a technical standard order (TSO) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for a hybrid system that delivers seamless connectivity to both the cockpit and cabin.
“We’re excited to work with Dassault to provide Falcon Jet operators with Aspire 350, which will enable high-speed, high-performance satcom capability for both flight crews and passengers,” said Steve Hadden, vice president and general manager, Services & Connectivity, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. “Aspire 350 is a next-generation solution providing safety, voice and data services to the aircraft cockpit while simultaneously enabling a consistently connected experience for passengers in the cabin who want to take their productivity from ground to air and back again.”
Aspire 350 supports real-time weather, Future Air Navigation Systems (FANS) data link and cockpit communications and safety services, enabling Dassault pilots to stay connected anywhere they fly with voice and data capabilities. It also delivers up to 704 kilobits per second of cabin internet connectivity for applications like text, email, voice messaging, conference calls and web browsing anywhere on the planet, creating an office-like experience for passengers even at 40,000 feet.
