Fokker Elmo SASMOS Interconnection Systems Limited (FE-SIL), a joint venture between GKN Aerospace and SASMOS HET Technologies Limited, has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract by Saab to manufacture the electrical interconnection systems (EWIS) for the aft section of the Boeing-Saab T-7A trainer aircraft.
Under the multi-year contract, FE-SIL will deliver the wiring systems for the aft fuselage of the jet that will train fighter and bomber pilots. The first EWIS ship-set is scheduled for delivery in 2022 from FE-SIL's Centre of Excellence for Aircraft Harnesses in Bangalore, India.
