H55 has inaugurated a new production site and engineering offices in Longueuil, Québec, within the aerospace innovation zone. The site will manufacture battery packs for customer aircraft, with deliveries scheduled from 2027. This marks the company’s first North American location and the launch of its Canadian operations.
The event highlighted H55’s role in electric aviation, following the sale of its first 100 aircraft and a successful “Across America” tour. Aircraft on display included the Bristell B23 Energic and Harbour Air’s eBeaver.
The facility will support deliveries of the Bristell B23 Energic, as well as major customers including CAE, Pratt & Whitney Canada and Harbour Air. Certification of H55’s 100kW propulsion system is expected soon, with first deliveries in 2026.
Carlos Leitão, Member of Parliament, says: “The Government of Canada is committed to supporting businesses focused on the future. By leveraging innovative projects like this, which drive the development and adoption of green propulsion in aerospace, we are reaffirming our commitment to sustainable aviation.”
Christine Fréchette, Québec Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy, adds: “Our $10-million investment has enabled the company to grow and to choose Quebec as the location for its North American headquarters.”
