Strata Manufacturing has signed a memorandum of agreement with Embraer to evaluate the potential supply of composite aerostructures for the Brazilian manufacturer's commercial aircraft programs.

The MoA was signed at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 and establishes a framework under which the two companies will assess work packages for Embraer's E2 family of aircraft, progressing through technical, commercial and contractual milestones. The agreement also covers the parties' intention to explore collaboration across other Embraer platforms.

Sara Abdulla AlMemari, acting chief executive of Strata, says: "This agreement with Embraer represents an important step in expanding Strata's global partnerships with leading aircraft manufacturers. It reflects the confidence placed in our advanced composite manufacturing capabilities and our ability to deliver world-class aerostructures that meet the highest standards of quality, precision and reliability."

Roberto Chaves, executive vice-president of global procurement and supply chain at Embraer, adds: "Through this MoA, we are taking an important step toward evaluating new opportunities to strengthen our global supply chain while supporting the continued success of our commercial aircraft programmes."

Strata, wholly owned by Mubadala, manufactures composite aerostructures for a range of commercial and military aircraft and forms part of the UAE's strategy to build a domestic aerospace manufacturing base. The agreement with Embraer adds to Strata's existing customer base of aircraft manufacturers. For Embraer, the MoA offers a further potential source of composite structures for the E2 programme as the manufacturer continues to build out its supply chain.
