CoolFly has unveiled Urban, a standing-position personal eVTOL aircraft, at its Global Product Launch event in Hangzhou, China, on 13 August. Described by CoolFly as the world's first standing-position personal aircraft, Urban is fully electric, with an enclosed-propeller propulsion design, a dual-redundant flight control architecture and triple-redundant inertial measurement units.
Alongside Urban, CoolFly presented its seated Dream series. Dream ST is built around ultralight aircraft regulatory frameworks in China and the United States and features a quick-fold configuration for easier transport. Dream Pro extends the platform with greater payload capacity and longer flight endurance, and adds millimetre-wave obstacle-detection radar, route planning, intelligent obstacle avoidance, a whole-aircraft parachute system and impact-mitigation airbags. Urban and the Dream series together give CoolFly standing and seated configurations for different users and applications.
The event also introduced NA80, CoolFly's self-developed flight control system. Built around a dual-redundant architecture with three inertial measurement units per flight control unit, NA80 provides a common platform across CoolFly's aircraft lineup, reflecting the company's in-house approach to aircraft design, propulsion, control logic and flight intelligence.
CoolFly reached a cooperation agreement with Zhejiang Institute of Security Technology, attended by the institute's president, Wen Jianfeng, covering professional talent development, joint training facilities and the application of flight technologies. The company also agreed insurance cover for Urban and Dream with PICC Property and Casualty and China Pacific Property Insurance, including a comprehensive package and overseas product liability coverage, to support product delivery and international operations. Multiple domestic and international dealers signed cooperation agreements at the event, extending CoolFly's distribution network with a focus on product delivery, localised customer support, training and after-sales service. CoolFly works primarily through authorised dealers to support market development in different regions.
