Quenching Oil

Quenching oil is a heat-treatment medium used in the controlled rapid cooling of aerospace-grade ferrous and non-ferrous alloys — including high-strength steels, titanium alloys and aluminium — to achieve target hardness, microstructure and residual-stress profiles following austenitising, solution annealing or case-hardening processes such as carburising and nitriding.
