Commutator switches are rotary electromechanical devices that distribute or sequence electrical signals across multiple circuits by means of a rotating conductive drum or segmented ring making sliding contact with fixed brushes, typically fabricated from copper alloys, silver-graphite composites, or precious-metal contact materials to meet aerospace reliability and low-resistance requirements under MIL-SPEC qualification.
