Fluid flow switches are devices that detect the presence, absence, or rate of fluid movement within aerospace hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, cooling, and environmental-control system (ECS) lines, triggering an electrical signal upon a defined flow threshold. Typical technologies include paddle, piston, vane, and differential-pressure actuated mechanisms, often manufactured from titanium, aluminium alloy, or CRES stainless steel to meet DO-160 environmental qualification requirements.
