Touch switches for aerospace applications are capacitive or resistive sensing devices that detect operator contact without mechanical actuation, typically incorporating EMI-shielded transparent or opaque overlay materials such as ITO (indium tin oxide) or conductive polymer films, and are qualified to RTCA/DO-160 environmental standards for use in cockpit control panels, avionics interfaces, and cabin management systems.
