Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) covers non-contact material removal from electrically conductive aerospace alloys — including titanium, Inconel and hardened tool steels — through controlled spark erosion between a workpiece and electrode, encompassing wire EDM, die-sinking and hole-drilling EDM processes used to produce cooling holes, complex cavities and tight-tolerance features in turbine and structural components.
