Penetrants

Penetrants are low-viscosity fluid compounds formulated to infiltrate tight clearances, corroded interfaces, and seized fastener threads through capillary action, facilitating the release of components subject to fretting, oxidation, or galvanic bonding in aerospace assemblies; typically based on petroleum distillates or synthetic carrier fluids, they must meet MIL-SPEC and REACH compliance requirements for use on aluminium, titanium, and high-strength steel structures.
