Diamond Aircraft will present a range of new product enhancements across its aircraft line up at AERO Friedrichshafen 2026 (April 22–25), with several new features being shown to the public for the very first time.

On display in Hall A4 will be the DA20i, DA42‑VI, DA50 RG, and DA62. Of these, the DA42‑VI, DA50 RG, and DA62 are brand‑new demonstrator aircraft. These new demonstrators showcase a wide selection of comfort, technology, and design improvements, reinforcing Diamond Aircraft's commitment to continuous product evolution.

Furthermore, the DA50 RG demonstrator will feature a new customized interior and exterior paint scheme. This bold new visual identity combines a striking anthracite and racing green exterior with light green and carbon black highlights, with a new “DYNAMIC” interior with premium two-tone materials – including contrasting green stitching. The new look will be especially appealing to private owners seeking individuality and performance driven design.

Advanced Garmin Capabilities Now Available on the DA62

At AERO 2026, Diamond Aircraft confirms certification of several advanced Garmin avionics features for the DA62.

Newly certified systems include:

• Garmin GWX™ 8000 Weather Radar

• Garmin GTS™ 800 Traffic System

• GTX 345DR ADS‑B In/Out (diversity)

New Portfolio‑Wide Enhancements

Alongside avionics updates, Diamond Aircraft introduces several new hardware and comfort upgrades across the product portfolio, where applicable.

Improved Lighting and Power Supply:

• LED taxi and landing lights from Whelen Aerospace Technologies are now standard on the DA62, DA50 RG, and DA42‑VI, delivering brighter illumination with reduced power consumption.

• Upgraded USB‑C power ports are now standard across the same models, with 100‑watt USB‑C outlets for passenger rows and 45‑watt ports for pilot and co‑pilot, supporting modern electronic devices throughout the cabin.

Enhanced Cockpit and Cabin Details:

• A newly redesigned ergonomic leather pilot control stick becomes standard on the DA62 and DA50 RG, and remains optional on the DA42‑VI, matched to interior color and stitching.

• Magnetic door‑closing straps are now standard on the DA62 and DA50 RG, simplifying operation of the signature gull‑wing doors.

• Optional mounting provisions for carry on tablets for passengers on the seat back are available for the DA62 and DA50 RG

• Customized, interior‑matched luggage sets are now offered exclusively for the DA62 (7‑piece set) and DA50 RG (6‑piece set), tailored to each aircraft's baggage configuration.
