ON Capital, Inc., led by aviator and general contractor Stephen Osborne, has acquired all assets of Sonex LLC, including the Sonex Aerospace and AeroConversions line of products; closing the deal, recapitalizing the business, and reopening our doors in twenty-one days. The lights are on, crews are working and kits are moving.

We are not coming back the way we left. We are coming back better. The next chapter is powered by a focused, experienced team, assembled to streamline operations, improve production efficiency, and elevate our customers to an exceptional builder experience.

A Designer Unleashed

Mark Schaible, who has guided Sonex through years of innovation, has been elevated and repositioned to Lead Designer of Sonex Aviation. Freed from the burdens of day-to-day administration, Mark now turns his full attention to what he does best – designing the aircraft our customers love, refining the kits they build, and supporting the pilots who fly them. The drafting table has its master back full-time.

A New Owner With a Mission

Stephen Osborne comes to Sonex as a lifetime EAA member, third-generation aviator and warbird pilot, and a flight-school owner. His team moved at extraordinary speed because they had to.

The Sonex High Wing – Shipping Soon

Eighty pre-orders are on the books. Tail kits resume shipping in May 2026 with full kits expected to ship mid-summer. The backlog is being cleared. The factory is expected to be at full production within the next few weeks. The Sonex High Wing is a product in motion.
