Sunday, 19 June 2011

Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), has reached agreement with Airbus to continue providing multiple systems content for Airbus A320 family including A320neo.

Under the agreement, Hamilton Sundstrand will provide the same suite of systems it is currently providing for the A320 family of aircraft, including the electric power generation system, cabin pressure control system, emergency ram air turbine, auxiliary power unit, cabin signage lighting, flight and cockpit controls and door and horizontal stabilizer actuation.

Hamilton Sundstrand estimates the total program value of this business to be approximately $3 billion.

"We are proud Airbus has confirmed Hamilton Sundstrand as a key partner for their single aisle aircraft family and that our proven systems will equip the A320neo," said Hamilton Sundstrand President Alain Bellemare. "By helping Airbus leverage an existing, reliable aircraft, we support the A320neo's objective of providing operators maximum benefit with minimal change."
