Rockwell Collins cabin management system certified for Dassault Falcon Aircraft
Wednesday, 20 June 2007

Rockwell Collins has received certification for its cabin management system on Dassault Aviation Falcon aircraft

"The fully integrated functionality of this system, including cabin control, entertainment and global office, allows Falcon owners the choice to relax and enjoy exceptionally high quality audio/video, or efficiently work in a global office environment," said Tommy Dodson, vice president and general manager, cabin systems for Rockwell Collins.

Derived from Rockwell Collins' industry leading cabin management system technologies, and developed specifically to meet the needs of the Falcon Jet family, the state of the art cabin management system is the first all-digital cabin management system available on Dassault's Falcon aircraft.  The system is currently standard on the F7X and F900EX/DX and offered on the F2000EX/DX/LX.

The system incorporates the latest advancements in high-speed digital backbone technology, supporting high quality audio/video and digital data content, bringing connectivity to every seat.  An optional wireless local area network is also available.

Passengers can easily access all cabin control, entertainment, and global office features through a touch screen passenger control unit.  Users can manage cabin temperature and lighting, and control multiple audio and video sources by utilizing an advanced human-machine interface (HMI) designed for intuitive interaction,

"Dassault has thoroughly tested the system on the ground and in flight, including endurance tests and, we are very pleased with the results." said Eric Monsel, vice president of programs for Dassault Falcon Jet. " These achievements have led us to transition to a production phase allowing first deliveries for early 2008."
