Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), an Alaska Native regional corporation, announced the purchase of HABCO Industries, LLC (HABCO), a leading aerospace manufacturer specializing in the design and production of support and test equipment for commercial and defense aviation.
“Acquiring HABCO strengthens and diversifies CIRI’s portfolio. Through strategic growth we are bolstering the company’s long-term financial resilience, ensuring we can continue to fulfill our mission well into the future,” CIRI CEO Swami Iyer said.
Marking the third major acquisition for CIRI since 2024, HABCO maintains key partnerships with leading international aerospace companies including Boeing, Lockheed Martin (Sikorsky), RTX (Pratt and Whitney), and Engine Alliance through which they serve commercial, government and military clientele, adding to CIRI’s global business portfolio that currently exceeds $1 billion in assets.

HABCO adds to CIRI’s diverse and strategic business portfolio that currently exceeds $1 billion in assets. The acquisition aligns with CIRI’s long-term business strategy.
Cook Inlet Region, Inc., also known as CIRI, is one of 12 land-based Alaska Native regional corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). CIRI’s regional boundaries roughly follow the traditional Dena’ina territory of Southcentral Alaska. CIRI was incorporated on June 8, 1972, and is owned today by a diverse group of nearly 10,000 Shareholders who live in Alaska and throughout the world.
Founded in 1970, HABCO serves the commercial and defense aerospace industries, providing engine and airframe sustainment products, FAA Part 145 accessory repair services, and asset management solutions. With operations in the US, Singapore, Dubai and the Czech Republic, HABCO serves over 250 customers in more than 50 countries, is recognized for its quality and reliability, and has received multiple industry and customer awards.
