Embraer outlines investment plans in Poland
Thursday, 13 March 2025
The company sees Poland as a strategic partner for manufacturing, maintenance, research and a potential KC-390 final assembly line.

Embraer plans to establish Poland as a centre of excellence in Europe, with initiatives spanning manufacturing, final assembly, maintenance, research and development and passenger-to-freight conversions. Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO, is visiting Poland this week to engage with partners and expand the company’s footprint.

The first collaboration, with the Łukasiewicz Institute of Aviation (iLOT), focuses on research and development in materials, aeronautical design and future maintenance technologies. Gomes Neto states: “Embraer has been part of the Polish aviation ecosystem for over 25 years and now, with Embraer growing strongly across the globe, we are committed to expanding our industrial engagement together with Polish partners covering manufacturing, final assembly, maintenance and repair.”

A potential KC-390 Millennium military aircraft final assembly line in Poland could generate close to $1bn in value and 600 jobs, while broader aerospace initiatives, including E2 jet supply chain expansion, could create more than 4,400 jobs and bring $2bn in investment over a decade.

Arjan Meijer, CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, highlights Poland’s role in the company’s commercial sector, praising LOT’s growth and positioning the E2 jet as a cost-effective, efficient choice for the airline. Frederico Lemos, Chief Commercial Officer of Embraer Defense & Security, says the KC-390 Millennium offers Poland an opportunity to integrate into the European defence ecosystem, potentially becoming the location for a European assembly line.
