Cyient DLM has been tasked with the design, development and manufacturing of a Cabin Management System for Deutsche Aircraft’s D328eco.
This multi-year contract represents one of the German OEM’s first electronics projects to be designed and built entirely in India.
The CMS will feature a touchscreen interface for control of lighting, signage and lavatory operations, with adjustable intensity to suit different phases of flight.
Cyient DLM and parent company Cyient will also provide sensors and integrated utilities to support a safer and more user-friendly in-cabin experience.
A modular architecture will allow scalability, and the system will be built using the latest control and display electronics.
“This partnership for the D328eco will enable Deutsche Aircraft to provide a modern CMS, a first for this class of aircraft. Cyient DLM’s proven capabilities make them an ideal partner in the design, development and series production of the CMS,” says Deutsche Aircraft’s co-CEO Nico Neumann. “Cyient has been a valuable partner in multiple areas of design and support, which has been crucial in our endeavour to bring the most modern and efficient aircraft in this class into service.”
“We are excited to bring our end-to-end design and manufacturing expertise to the D328eco programme—a next-generation aircraft that will set new standards for regional aviation,” adds Cyient DLM CEO Anthony Montalbano.
