Deutsche Aircraft has chosen Aernnova to supply the empennage for its D328eco regional aircraft. The contract was signed at the Paris Air Show and finalises the roster of primary structure suppliers for the type’s serial production phase.
Aernnova will deliver build-to-print assemblies including the composite empennage with horizontal and vertical stabilisers, and a metallic tail cone. CEO Ricardo Chocarro says: “With more than 30 years of expertise in developing and producing composite aircraft structures, we are proud to contribute to the D328eco programme. We value this new partnership with Deutsche Aircraft and the opportunity to support a next-generation regional aircraft that combines versatility with an innovative design.”
Deutsche Aircraft says the empennage is a critical structural component that contributes to aerodynamic performance and flight stability. CEO Nico Neumann adds: “Welcoming Aernnova to the D328eco program is a significant step forward. With this agreement, we have now secured 100% of our primary structure suppliers. This is a key achievement as we move from development into industrialisation.”
The programme is targeting entry into service in Q4 2027.
