Wide-bodied, twin-jet, commercial aircraft. Aluminium and titanium alloy airframe with cabin floor, torsion boxes, flight control surfaces and rudders made from composite materials. Powered by two high thrust GE90 family of turbofan engines.

Supercritical airfoil design wings without winglets which also serve as fuel storage. Wide cyclindrical fuselage accommodates twin-aisle, up to 10-abreast seating, tapering to blade shaped tail-cone. Features largest ever landing gear and tyres on a commercial aircraft with 6 wheels on each main landing gear. 777X features foldable wingtips and composites wing. The 777 was the first Boeing airliner to feature fully digital fly-by-wire controls. Two hydraulic actuators control each surface of the elevators, ailerons, and flaperons and three control the rudder.

Two pilots face a Honeywell (HEICO acquired 2025) airplane information management system (AIMS) six-screen flat panel display system, yoke and rudder controls. Two hydraulic actuators control each surface of the elevators, ailerons and flaperons, and three control the rudder.
