Fire resistant adhesives for aerospace applications are formulated to maintain structural integrity and bonding performance under sustained elevated temperatures and direct flame exposure, meeting FAR 25.853 and OSU heat release requirements. Typical chemistries include phenolic, bismaleimide (BMI), and intumescent-modified systems used to bond cabin interior panels, thermal protection assemblies, and fire-zone structures.
