Frozen adhesives are thermosetting polymer systems — typically film or paste formats — that must be stored and transported at sub-zero temperatures (commonly −18 °C or below) to arrest curing kinetics until point of use, where they are thawed and applied before processing through autoclave, oven, or out-of-autoclave (OOA) cure cycles to bond structural and non-structural aerospace assemblies.
