Pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) for aerospace applications are viscoelastic polymer systems — typically acrylic, rubber-based, or silicone formulations — that form an immediate bond under light contact pressure without requiring heat cure or solvent activation, and are qualified to standards such as ASTM D1000 and FAR 25 flammability requirements for use in interior linings, masking during surface treatment, shim bonding, and temporary or permanent attachment of films, foils, and labels.
