Pitot tube covers are protective devices fitted over pitot-static probes and angle-of-attack sensors during ground operations to prevent ingress of insects, debris, moisture and foreign objects that could compromise airspeed and altitude measurement systems; typically manufactured from bright-coloured fabric, foam or moulded polymer with secure attachment streamers or ties to aid FOD control and pre-flight removal checks.
