Tapered bearings for aerospace applications use conical inner and outer raceways to accommodate combined radial and axial (thrust) loads simultaneously, and are manufactured from bearing-grade steels such as M50 or 52100 to tight ABEC or RBEC tolerance classes, with precision-ground rolling elements and raceways finished to exacting surface roughness specifications for use in flight-control actuators, landing-gear assemblies, and gearbox interfaces.
