Cellulose Nitrate Coatings

Cellulose nitrate coatings are nitrocellulose-based lacquer systems applied to aerospace components as dope or finish coatings, primarily for fabric-covered control surfaces and legacy structures, utilising solvent-borne formulations that cure by solvent evaporation to form a taut, protective nitrocellulose film compliant with specifications such as MIL-L-19537.
