Expansion Joints

Expansion joints are flexible mechanical elements designed to absorb thermal growth, vibration, and axial or lateral misalignment within ducting, bleed-air, and exhaust systems, encompassing bellows-type and slip-joint configurations fabricated from high-temperature nickel superalloys, titanium, and stainless steel, using hydroforming, precision roll-forming, and electron-beam or TIG welding processes to meet FAR/CS pressure and fatigue cycling requirements.
