Fuel totalisers are airborne measurement instruments that integrate instantaneous fuel-flow signals over time to provide a continuous, cumulative record of fuel consumed, combining flow-transducer inputs — typically turbine, Coriolis or ultrasonic sensing elements — with dedicated totalising electronics to output data in volumetric or gravimetric units via ARINC 429 or MIL-STD-1553 data buses to flight-deck displays and FMS interfaces.
