Ball bearing splines are recirculating ball assemblies that combine linear or rotary sliding motion with torque transmission along a splined shaft, used in aerospace actuation systems, flight control mechanisms, and rotor drive trains where simultaneous axial displacement and rotational load transfer are required; they are manufactured to tight ABEC or ISO tolerances from bearing-grade steels or corrosion-resistant alloys, with surface treatments including case hardening and hard chrome plating.
