Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) aircraft with propulsion (adaptive cycle engine) developed through Next Generation Adaptive Propulsion (NGAP) program, designed to be flown within a family of systems as the Penetrating Counter-Air (PCA) central platform, alongside unmanned collaborative combat aircraft (CCA). In comparison to F-35 / F-22, the aircraft is anticipated to offer a longer range, and enhanced stealth and adaptability, while requiring fewer resources to deploy, and lower costs. In development, with technical and programmatic details remaining classified.
