Tuffer Manufacturing Company is pleased to announce that it has been selected by The Boeing Company to support its nationwide team to compete for the U.S. Air Force's new fleet of aerial refueling tankers.
By joining with Boeing to become part of the United States Tanker team, Tuffer Manufacturing Company will become eligible to increase orders if Boeing is awarded the U. S. Air Force tanker contract in mid-2010. Tuffer Manufacturing currently makes machined parts for Boeing's 737, 767 and 777 aircraft.
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to support our nation's warfighter and be part of the team that will compete for a new generation of U. S. tankers," said Ron Hamilton, vice president, Tuffer Manufacturing Co. "Tuffer Manufacturing has been supplying machined parts to Boeing for 15 years and we know the Boeing fleet very well. This additional business would help support Tuffer's current jobs and potentially enable our company to expand and create new jobs for the community and the state," Hamilton added.
Boeing works with more than 5,800 companies in California alone, paying more than $6.3 billion for services and products. If Boeing is awarded the contract, it would support at least 50,000 new and existing jobs across the United States.
Tuffer Manufacturing Company is proud to help Boeing deliver an American-designed and built, combat-ready tanker featuring max capability at lowest cost.
