PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Daher
Daher today announced the renewal and expansion of its contract with Airbus Atlantic for the logistics management of the West Hub in Montoir-de-Bretagne. This five-year partnership (2026-2031) comes with a major challenge: supporting the industrial ramp-up with a tripling of logistics volumes and a doubling of staff by mid-2027.
-Daher has been Airbus' logistics partner at the Montoir-de-Bretagne site since 2003. Having moved up to the Tier 1 status in 2018, Daher successfully adapted to changes at its customer, particularly during the transition to the Airbus Atlantic model.
- This new contract marks a major milestone in the hub’s logistics transformation, establishing it as the central convergence point for flows from four facilities within Airbus Atlantic’s industrial scope.
- Daher's on-site workforce will grow from 250 to 450 employees by mid-2027, with production volumes tripling to support the ramp-up of the Airbus A320, A330 and A350 jetliner programs.
An expanded contract to meet the challenge of production ramp-up
Daher’s renewal and expansion of its contract with Airbus Atlantic for the period 2026-2031 covers two complementary areas.
The first involves the management of the logistics hub: receiving, storage, inventory and shipment of parts from the Nantes and Saint-Nazaire production sites in France, as well as from all suppliers. The Daher teams will gradually grow from 250 to 450 employees by mid-2027 to absorb a threefold increase in the volume of parts received daily.
The second involves distribution to the production flow: delivery of parts directly to Airbus' manufacturing lines. When a part is requested, it must be available immediately; otherwise, production stoppages or problems in the manufacturing phases may occur.
Daher's ability to reinvent itself
This renewal demonstrates Daher's ability to reinvent itself to meet the evolving needs of its customers. As a long-standing partner of Airbus Commercial Aircraft, Daher has successfully adapted to new operational requirements during the transition to the Airbus Atlantic model.
To meet the challenge of this ramp-up, Daher is mobilizing its teams by doubling the workforce, including recruiting and training local talent, and reorganizing flows to absorb the consolidation of four plants into the central hub.
Tailor-made logistic innovation
To support this transformation, Daher specifically developed the Hub Advanced Monitoring System in response to the contract’s tender process. This advanced management system enables real-time control of all logistics flows. It coordinates the various automation processes and optimizes flow convergence.
Daher also is deploying end-to-end automation solutions for upstream and downstream flows to support the expansion of the automated warehouse led by Airbus Atlantic.
An historic partnership continues
"We are proud to continue the support of Airbus Atlantic in this new strategic phase, with the latest contract a testament to the renewed confidence and recognition of our ability to adapt and reinvent ourselves,” said Aymeric Daher, Deputy CEO of the Daher Group, and CEO of Daher Logistics. “Daher is committed to meeting the challenges of this major transformation. Our teams, based on site for more than 20 years, have developed unique expertise while fostering Daher’s culture. This contract also marks an important milestone in the overall partnership between Daher and Airbus."
A strengthened local presence in France’s Western region
With the increase to a planned workforce of 450 employees, this contract is one of the largest in the region. The growth illustrates Daher's ability to mobilize and train local talent in the Montoir-de-Bretagne employment area. The West Hub accounts for nearly 10% of the revenue for Daher Logistics.
