Hook and loop fasteners used in aerospace applications comprise interlocking nylon, polyester or PTFE woven tape assemblies — typically conforming to MIL-SPEC standards such as MIL-DTL-87217 — employed for the attachment and management of insulation blankets, avionics bay panels, interior trim and harness dressing, where tool-free, repeatedly releasable securing is required.
