Dimpled washers are formed sheet-metal fastener elements featuring one or more stamped or drawn conical protrusions that provide controlled preload distribution and vibration-resistant clamping when used with bolts, screws, or rivets in airframe and aerostructure assemblies; manufactured from aerospace-grade aluminium alloys, titanium, or corrosion-resistant steel (CRES) to AMS and NAS material specifications, they are produced by precision press-forming or progressive-die stamping processes.
