Self-Tapping Screws

Self-tapping screws for aerospace applications are threaded fasteners designed to form or cut their own mating thread on installation into sheet metal, light alloy, or thermoplastic substrates without requiring a pre-tapped hole, covering thread-forming and thread-cutting variants manufactured to AS, MS, and NAS standards in corrosion-resistant steel, titanium, and aluminium alloys with drive forms including Phillips, Torx, and hex recesses.
