Dowel pins are precision-machined cylindrical locating elements used in aerospace assemblies to maintain accurate positional relationships between mating components, control jigs, fixtures, and structural subassemblies. Manufactured to tight geometric tolerances from corrosion-resistant steel, titanium, or A286 alloy in accordance with NAS and MS specifications, they are typically ground to h6 or h7 fit classes for interference or transition installation.
