Hi-Lok pins are two-piece, close-tolerance fastening elements comprising a threaded pin body and a collared nut (Hi-Lok collar) that shears off at a pre-determined installation torque, ensuring consistent preload in structural airframe joints. Manufactured to NAS and MIL specifications from titanium alloy, alloy steel, or aluminium in countersunk or protruding-head configurations, they are installed using standard or automated drilling and torquing tooling in shear- and tension-critical applications.
