Airborne consoles are structural and functional enclosures integrated into military and specialist aircraft to house mission-system electronics, avionics racks, and operator workstations, typically fabricated from aluminium alloy or CFRP using CNC machining and composite lay-up processes, and designed to meet MIL-STD shock, vibration, and EMI shielding requirements whilst accommodating MIL-DTL-38999 connector interfaces and ARINC-standard equipment mounting.
