Magnetic Brakes

Magnetic brakes for aerospace landing assemblies utilise controlled electromagnetic fields to generate retarding torque, encompassing eddy-current and magnetorheological (MR) fluid technologies applied to rotor-stator configurations manufactured from high-permeability ferrous alloys and engineered composite armatures, with associated coil windings, flux-path housings, and power-conditioning electronics sized to aircraft-specific load and thermal dissipation requirements.
