Helicopter Floats

Helicopter floats are emergency or primary water-landing buoyancy systems comprising inflatable sponsons or fixed pontoons fabricated from coated nylon or Kevlar-reinforced fabrics, aluminium alloy or composite structures, and incorporating CO₂ or pyrotechnic inflation systems, pressure relief valves, and immersion-activated triggering mechanisms compliant with FAR/CS 27 and 29 ditching certification requirements.
