TACAN receivers provide UHF-band tactical air navigation capability, processing bearing and slant-range information from ground or ship-based transponder beacons operating across the 962–1213 MHz frequency range. Coverage encompasses the associated RF front-end hardware, demodulation circuits, bearing-determination logic, and integration with ARINC 429 or MIL-STD-1553 data buses for cockpit display and flight-management system interfacing.
