Seat parachutes are integrated deceleration assemblies designed to deploy automatically or manually when a crewmember separates from an aircraft seat, covering ram-air and round canopy types, deployment bags, pilot chutes, ripcord and automatic activation device (AAD) mechanisms, harness-container systems, and MIL-SPEC-compliant textile components fabricated from nylon, Kevlar, and Spectra webbing and canopy fabrics.
