Metal grommets are annular sealing and edge-protection fittings, typically machined or stamped from aluminium alloy, stainless steel, or titanium to aerospace dimensional tolerances, that are installed into bulkhead or panel apertures to protect wire bundles, tubing runs, and hydraulic lines from abrasion and vibration-induced fretting, with finishes such as anodising or cadmium plating applied per applicable MIL-SPEC requirements.
