Cloth tape used in aerospace manufacturing comprises woven fabric substrates — typically cotton, fibreglass, or polyester — coated or laminated with pressure-sensitive adhesives such as natural rubber or acrylic compounds, and is applied in surface protection, bundling, masking during chemical processing, and temporary mechanical securing of assemblies during build and MRO operations.
