Hydraulic fuses are automatic shut-off devices installed in aircraft hydraulic circuits to isolate downstream lines in the event of a burst or disconnect, preventing uncontrolled fluid loss and maintaining system pressure integrity. They operate on flow-sensing or pressure-differential principles, incorporating precision-machined poppet or spool valve mechanisms manufactured to AS and MIL-H specifications from corrosion-resistant alloys compatible with MIL-PRF-5606, MIL-PRF-83282, and Skydrol fluid types.
