Aircraft landing gear encompasses the complete retractable or fixed undercarriage structures — including main and nose gear assemblies, drag and side stays, torque links, trunnions, and actuation mechanisms — fabricated from high-strength steel, titanium alloy, and aluminium forgings, with surface treatments such as hard chrome plating or HVOF thermal spray applied to bearing surfaces to meet fatigue-life and corrosion-resistance requirements.
