Glareshields are structural-cosmetic assemblies mounted above the instrument panel to shield flight-crew displays from cockpit ambient light, typically fabricated from carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) or glass-fibre composite laminates using autoclave or out-of-autoclave (OOA) cure processes, with surface finishes applied via flocking, painting or textured moulding to meet low-reflectance requirements.
