Zener Diodes

Zener diodes for aerospace applications are reverse-biased p-n junction devices engineered to provide precise voltage regulation and transient suppression across avionics, power conditioning, and protection circuits, utilising controlled avalanche breakdown characteristics to maintain stable reference voltages; they are manufactured to MIL-PRF-19500 qualification standards using silicon semiconductor processes with hermetically sealed packages rated for extended temperature ranges.
